Bittersweet -Detectives' Tea Party- is an adventure-mystery visual novel game, tracking down the cases left by a mysterious phantom thief named “Beneatha”. It is a tale about seeking the truth, with a Bitter and Sweet journey.

Rookie detective, a girl with a strong desire for knowledge. She seems cold, but she would become enthusiastic when facing people or things she is interested in.

Skillful Chief Intelligence Officer. She is aiming to become an elegant lady, but is still incapable of covering up her childishness.

Bittersweet takes place in a fictional European country "Dezato", in the late 19th century.

Rapid development of technology and industry widened the gap between rich and poor.

In places far from the capital, there is also a growing influence of the nobility, who hold significant power and control over cities and towns.

The country is constantly changing, and people need to find their way to survive.

Gameplay is divided into two main sections, which are the “Daily” and “Incident” sections.

“Daily” section features Elaine and her partner’s journey in different cities, and reveals the story behind Beneatha’s crime in the past.

“Incident” section focuses on the murder cases that are happening now. It is further divided into  the “Investigation” and “Tea Party” parts.

Click on different places on the screen to search for evidence.

Questioning

Choose on what you want to ask for.

If the witness said something strange, show him/her what you got.

-Tea Party-

Choose correct answers and clues to reveal the truth of the case!

-Decision-

Player's choices in the story may impact the development of the plot and result in different routes and endings.
